College Basketball Power Rankings - Week 7

First college basketball ranking of the season.  The number one can't be disputed right now because the national champions are still undefeated. Later in the year another team will pass them up because don't see them winning again. The younger teams will have time to learn and put it together. Kentucky took a loss this week against Louisville, but they will be ranked around 10 or just outside.  The most important games are about to start, and the conference games determine everything. With the suspension of Grayson Allen, Duke took a major hit, but it might end up working out in their favor. Duke will only get better with their pieces coming back from injuries. The national player of the year race is still pretty close in the early going. Josh Hart the leader by numbers and the best team.

The race will go on all year. The best player right now in the country is Markelle Fultz, but his team isn't helping him out with wins. The other guys in top 5 are on top 5 teams in college basketball. Luke Kennard and Amile Jefferson have been better then expected and both top 10 in the race right now.  Malik Monk had a huge game and averaging over 20 points, but he had a bad game against Louisville. De'Aaron Fox is a do it all point guard who will fill up the stat sheet up.
